Wind Indicators Have Been Designed to By A ParaMotoring Pilot Specifically for the Light Aviation and Foot Launched Aviators.

We used to use off the shelf Spinners, they were cheap and cheerful, but they just wasn't right for the Aviation Job, great for the Garden or to stick ontop of your Caravan / Camper as a Marker.

The main fault with the cheap off the shelf Spinners was that the Tails were too short to pick up air currents in still conditions, 0-1 Mph Breezes. They wouldn't indicate anything until the last minute, which meant missed opportunities for Still Air Thermic Take Offs were hard to read, prop wash is another good example when low level flying and Turbulent low level Air also wasn't picked up. The complete opposite effect happened when the wind speeds got over 5 Mph, the off the shelf spinners wouln't spin in a balanced fashion so it throws the tails off balance making them look like it is Turbulent Air coming through the field when its not. So our Design Team set out to Build A Purpose made Indicator Specifically for the Aviation Industry. The Sizes were experimented with for many months and many Proto-types and back to the drawing boards took place until we came up with the current Model that we and many Pilots around the World are very pleased with.

Most Pilots that use our Indicators, say that they even prefer to use it over a Traditional Winsock because of the way that it stands out and when the wind speed picks up over 5 Mph it literally turns into a Windsock shape, We use them and you can clearly see them from very far distances and Altitudes this is enhanced by its Bright Design.

The Long Tails Show every little variation in the Wind, they pick up Turbulence and Prop wash like a sniffer dog, giving you Very Quick and Accurate Wind and Lift Readings at a Glance, this is due to the fact that everyone of our Purpose made Windsocks and Thermal Finders are Perfectly Balanced to give the Optimum Performance and Readings at All Wind Speeds and Altitudes and in all flyable Conditions.
