Our successful beginner-glider is now available as updated Cruiser2 version! Now coming in the current independence design and with new, more durable materials.

By intense development we were able to improve the characterisitcs of the Cruiser compared to it´s predecessor model Merlin. So our new LTF1 and EN A certified glider offers an outstanding take-off behaviour, high safety reserves and a very good glide-performance for this LTF class. Of course it has a smooth-running, precise handling, which is also forgiving little mistakes of the pilot.

We reached this development targets by using a new profile which offers a good performance but also enough safety, especially in slow flight. The geometry of lines which is used at the Cruiser offers the perfect balance between agile flight-characteristics and the necessary stability. Due to only three riser-levels at each riser the aerodynamic drag is reduced, and the take-off and groundhandling excercises are much easier.

The variable rear edge tension and the flap openings at the uppersail, which have been already used at the Merlin successfully, are also part of the new Cruiser. The flaps in the upper sail are closed during the normal flight, only if the pilot gets near to the stall point by breaking too much, the flaps open. Through openings under the flap then air with high speed escapes into turbulent air at the upper sail and smoothes the airflow again. This delays the full stall and the pilot gets enough time to react. Moreover the Cruiser gets a variable rear-edge-tension. Thereby every upper line of the brake is running through a small corrosion-free metal ring and is splitted up on two points, so that the rear edge is contracted a little bit during braking. This makes the brake itself more effective and improves the performance clearly, because less brakelines are needed what reduces the drag of the glider and offers so a much better gliding, specially against the wind.

Target group of the new Cruiser are paragliding students as well as leisure time pilots, who are looking for a glider which offers them absolute flying pleasure by maximal safety.

The Cruiser2 is available in red, orange or blue.
