FIDES 3 is a school wing, designed for paragliding students at the training slope and during their first thermal flights. A good handling and maneuverability will help the student to adopt the right feeling for the free flight. Its stability will also help to discover the first thermals flights in stress free and safe conditions.
The FIDES 3 is excellent to fly and very stable should the rough air be experienced. FIDES 3 is one of our best gliders to experience our sport.

The goal was to produce a robust glider while preserving the qualities of flight and Sky Paragliders touch, handling and feeling.

Optional accessories:
Fides 3 is also delivered as a paramotoring wing and you can order special risers with the trimmer tabs, just the note the glider is not certified with trimmers tabs.

Customise the colours of your SKY glider


To design your own glider use the tool below. When you have decided on your own unique colour scheme COPY the name of glider and colours picked (for example: Antea 2: Gold / Red Dragon / Deep Blue) into your order. ANY colour combination is available.

Gliders with personalised colours are available only at extra cost. The delivery time depends on the load of the workshop and may vary depending.

Materials

Canopy

The canopy is made out of DOKDO material produced by a South Korean textile factory, Dominico Textiles. To achieve high quality and increase the durability of the canopy, we combine several material and coatings. The upper panels are made from DOKDO-N20 DMF (WR), 36 grams per square metre.
Profiles are made of DOKDO-N30 DFM.

The material is made of Nylon 6.6 fibres (PA fibres) produced by Du Pont. The weaving pattern is the so called RipStop structure.

Line scheme

The lines on the FIDES 3 are of the highest quality and are supplied by the German firm EDELRID. These lines have high resistance against mechanical abrasion as well as a high degree of length stability.

For the upper cascade we used ELDERID 7850080 lines. These lines are one millimetre in diameter; the core is manufactured out of dyneema and the outer sheath from polyester. The lower lines are EDELRID 7850-200 (1,6mm) and 7850-160 (1,5mm) and main brake lines are from EDELRID 7850200.

Risers

The risers are made from 20 mm wide webbing manufactured by our supplier MOUKA TINOV. The suspension lines are connected to the risers by means of quick links (maillons) made by the French supplier Maillon Rapide.
