The Draco, our new Speed-Flyer! The main difference between the Draco and a conventional Speed-Rider is the much better gliding-performace of the Draco. While Speed-Riders are made for cruising down hills with ski or snowboards, the Speed-Flyer Draco can be foot-launched. This offers the well-experienced pilot versatile purposes:

Flying in strongwind-conditions, groundhandling, but also classic Speed-Riding are possible with the new Draco. The profile and the canopy-geometry give the Draco a very high stability, but also offer a very good gliding-performance for such a small canopy. This enables even thermal-flights in applicable conditions.

By it´s reliable take-off behaviour and it´s small packing-size and low weight it is also for alpinists, who have advanced pilot-skills, a good opportunity to come down from the summit fast.

The name "Draco" and the design of the wing are a tribute to the Draco Volans Acro Team from Montafon (Austria). These five young pilots are not only flying our Draco but also our Acroglider Duke and our Speed-Rider Carver. Thanks Draco-Volans for all your support!!

ATTENTION: Speed-Flying is a very challenging sport and should only be done by well experienced pilots with the necessary education.

The Draco is available in two sizes in the following colour-combiantions. It comes with a funky assymmetric design:

The Take-off weight data are only rough recommendations. Finally it´s a question of the pilot´s skill and the purpose of the Draco!
