Calculating Redrive Ratios
A three to one (3:1) re drive ratio means the motor's shaft will spin three times around for one full prop revolution. It is the ratio of pulley sizes.
Belt Machines
With belt drives the ratio is measured by dividing the large pulley's diameter by the small pulley's diameter. A 3 inch diameter small pulley and a 9 inch diameter large pulley has a 3:1 reduction ratio.
Gearbox Machines
If you have a gearbox redrive you can leave the Redrive Ratio text box empty. as they generally dont alter from the factory set up. if we need more info for your engine a member of our team will contact you.
